In 2018, Wallace Chapman (RNZ) had the honour to interview one of the first feminist economists, Dr Marylin Waring to explore theories from her books “Counting for Nothing: What Men Value and What Women Are Worth” and Still Counting that invites us to question the metrics such as GDP used to measure the wealth of a country that “dismissed all the unpaid labour, traditionally done by women” as well as bluntly ignore Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
